19 weeks...happy feet

These are the feet that kicked me vigorously from the inside for days and weeks and months. They're still going but this time I don't have to bear the brunt or their attack.

19 weeks...beach days

...and naps...and don't be alarmed by my bruises...I was fresh out of a cupping and acupuncture session to try and fix my arm. Happy to sport the battle scars if it means I will no longer need to use my left arm to lift up my right one in the mornings.

4 months

Weight: 7kg Length: 65cm

Obsessions: Still finger sucking, and generally sucking on anything he can get his little hands on.

Superpowers: Rolling over onto his belly... has done it solo 3 times already after much practice and determination. Generally getting much more active; tries to sit up all the time and is very strong and steady on his feet when held up! I think we'll be on the move very quickly indeed!

Social Skills: Loves to goo goo with mum and dad but becoming quite shy around strangers. Recognises me and Fil and is very quick to respond with a cheeky monkey smile. Remembers our little games and still squeals with delight and giggles away when we're blowing raspberries on his belly or nuzzling kisses in his fat little neck rolls.

Interests: Still Harry. Perpetually drooling (quite possibly due to some teeth scratching at the surface) and blowing bubbles. Studies my face as I look over him and is really happy to grab my nose and poke his little fingers in my mouth! Oh and the hair....loves to get his little fists on any hair he can get! Gently blabbers himself off to sleep(usually around 3am)...these are specific quite and soft sounds intended only for himself...terribly cute! Big big flirt with the ladies...

dear charlotte, love atticus

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across the sweetest children's wear brand: dear charlotte love banjo. Their whimsical, vintage inspired pieces conjure up nostalgic memories of yesteryear. By the time I cottoned on to the Christmas sale, there was a limited selection of items (especially for boys) available and limited sizes. The second hat is more my size than Atticus' but terribly cute nonetheless! And how cute is the box they arrived in!

16 weeks...out for lunch

Out for lunch last weekend, Atticus didn't care about the fancy coffee or the scrumptious food offering....all a boy needs is a hand full of fingers (or two) and a cheeky smile!

16 weeks...brrr

We're currently experiencing an icy spell in the middle of the summer heat. Nothing better than cuddling in for a nap... I just wish it would last longer than 40 minutes!...

chevron blanket

Those who know me will know that I have a slight obsession with The Purl Bee. Their crafty creations are always inspiring and the patterns are so easy to follow. This is a little pram blanket I knitted up following this pattern and it has turned out to be just the perfect size to keep Atticus' little legs warm in his pram. I love the retro feel to it and we get complements everywhere we go.

15 weeks...atti and the city

We took advantage of the glorious weather yesterday and trekked into the city for a day of exploring. The new Contemporary Art Space at the NGV has a beautiful exhibition on at the moment of Ranjani Shettar's magical sculptures. We stumbled upon it completely by chance but it actually turned out to be a wonderful first exhibition for Atticus as it has a number of large , colourful pieces, almost reminiscent of giant mobiles and playthings.

We headed over to the Botanical Gardens in the afternoon, where Atticus slept in his pram as we explored the grounds and then had a nice cuddle in the grass. Every time we make it to the gardens I am always bewildered by the fact that we don't come more often. Filipp and I vowed yet again to visit more often and try to coax our friends to join us for some picnics there this summer. (for anyone who knows me you will know that every time the summer rolls around, I go on and on about all these picnics that we're going to have...maybe this summer it might actually happen?)...picnic anyone?

14 weeks...by the seaside

We have just returned from a week relaxing on the Mornington Peninsula where Atticus slept through many a walk along the wild ocean...

...had his first swim in the beautiful bay at Blairgowrie...

...splashed around in the bath...

...and slept like a baby from all the fresh sea air...
